1Information we collect

• Information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, project address or ZIP code, project descriptions, measurements, photos, preferences, and anything else you choose to send us.
• Estimate Assistant information: your messages, our responses, selected options, quantities, assumptions, and session information used to keep your conversation going.
• Location: the ZIP code or address you enter. If you allow location access in your browser, we use your approximate location to show local pricing. You can enter a ZIP code instead.
• Communications: emails, text messages, inquiry details, and voicemail recordings and transcripts.
• Technical information: device and browser type, IP address, request logs, and similar data used to run the website, prevent abuse, and fix problems.

Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information through the chat or contact forms.

2How we use information

We use information to:

• Prepare planning estimates and formal proposals
• Answer your questions and respond to your requests
• Schedule, perform, and manage your project
• Keep track of your conversation with the Estimate Assistant
• Improve our pricing, services, and website
• Protect the website against fraud and abuse
• Meet recordkeeping and legal obligations

3AI-assisted estimates

Our Estimate Assistant uses third-party AI services to understand project descriptions and prepare planning estimates. The messages and project details needed for that purpose are sent to these services. Under our agreements with these providers, your information is not used to train their AI models.

To look up current market prices, the assistant may run web searches. Search queries describe the type of work and general area, not who you are. The pricing data we save for future estimates does not include your personal information.

Your chat may be saved even if you do not ask us to email you an estimate.

4When we share information

We share information only as needed to run our business and deliver what you ask for:

• Service providers for website hosting, database storage, AI processing, email delivery, and phone and text messaging. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
• Our team, subcontractors, trade professionals, and Pro Partners who respond to your request or are assigned to your project, only to quote, schedule, perform, permit, and warranty the work. See our Contractor Disclosure.
• Legal and safety reasons when required by law or to protect rights, property, and safety.
• Business transfers if our business is sold or reorganized, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information, share it for targeted advertising, or sell leads to other companies. Some of our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries.

5Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies and similar browser storage for location preferences, keeping your session active, sign-in where applicable, and security. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, but some features may stop working.

6Email, text messages, and calls

Project communications

When you request an estimate or contact us, we use your contact details to respond about that request. Contacting us about a project does not sign you up for marketing.

Text messages

If you agree to receive text messages, we send messages related to your estimate, appointments, and project. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

We do not sell or share your mobile number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Text messaging opt-in data is not shared with any third party.

Voicemail and calls

Voicemails may be recorded and transcribed so our team can respond. If we ever record a live phone call, we will tell you at the start of the call.

7Retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, unless the law requires longer.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8Your choices and requests

You can choose not to provide optional information. To ask for a copy of your information, correct it, or delete it, email info@installanddesign.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some records, such as contracts and permit documents, may need to be kept for legal reasons.

9Children and other websites

Our services are for adults arranging work on their property and are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Those websites have their own privacy practices.

10Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our practices change. The effective date at the top shows the current version. If we make significant changes, we will post a notice on our website.
